On June 22nd, 2008 Hooters in Whitby had a rather massive Classic car show which the NMCC attended. We had a nice showing of Mavericks and Comets along with a few hundred other classic cars. The Hooters girls certainly added some fun to the event as well as prizes and great food too. All went well with the weather being sunny till the end of the show when the sky opened up and a full on downpour nailed us. Still the show was great fun with some really nice rides.
Mavericks and one Comet, part of the larger Hooters car show.
The Daydreamer had his own special spot as a feature car.
Also the Hooters girls provided some entertainment for the car show.
The Daydreamer did a little M.C.ing for the show. Quiet........ and the winner is.............
All of 'em.
If i tried this , i'd be in traction for a month!
Thank you Hooters Whitby for a great classic car show even if Mother nature tried to ruin it!
This Maverick Comet cruise night at Hooters on Aug 5th,2009 was the day that we decided to change the name of the NMCC and the logo. Out with the old and in with the new as the saying goes. Mr. Winters came up with the base art of the new logo, and the leaf was chosen on a whim. Comrick317 did the artwork for the logo and The Northern Region Maverick Comet Club was reborn in Hooters Hamilton. Can't think of a better place to be reborn. We had four cars on that eventful day.........

Our Maverick Comet cruise night at Hooters was a nice little Mini Meet and the start of a new chapter in the NRMCC.
Here are the pictures from this small but oh so fun event.
A little lunch at Hooters with the Comet Maverick crew.
Such an amazingly detailed die cast of a Maverick.
And with that fateful day came the dawn of a new logo!!!!
