On Nov 8th, 2015 the NRMCC did a brake job on my Comet and as usual we decided to make an event out of it. Here is some coverage on the NRMCC Maverick Comet Autumn Brake Job Extravaganza Event....... wow what a mouth full. It was also nice to see the boys before the crazy Christmas season gets going full bore. So here for your viewing pleasure is a........ well......... basically.........a brake job. Enjoy.
It's always nice to get some work done on the car before putting it away for the Winter so my friend and fellow Maverick owner Larry Winter decided to get together along with J and 240Gordie to do a brake job. After the dirty deed was done we had a Maverick Comet Bar-B-Q (you'll see). A good time was had by all. Once again thanks for the help from the boys, as i ain't no good as a mechanic!!!!!!! I'm more the media guy. Enjoy.
The old rotors have not been changed for awhile, funny thing is that the other side of the rotor is near perfect.
To all you budding mechanics......... don't let your rotors get this bad....... or at the very least don't put it on a Maverick Comet website.
Hey, check out this guys rotors!
It's funny how when one Maverick or Comet shows up they sudden appear out of the wood work.
Such a cool picture, all of 'em work except mine. 'Cause i gots no brakes!!!!
A quick video.
Halfway through the job Master Chef Larry Winter cooked up some Maverick Comet burgers for the boys.
Than back to work!!!!
One more video.
Always nice to have 240Gordie do a little work on the Comet.
And as with most things, not all things go smoothly. Old brake lines means new problems.............. so a trip to PartsSource for some supplies and all was good again.
After it was all said and done, another happy customer. Funny how much better a car stops with brakes. Thanks fellas!
And so ends another epic NRMCC Maverick Comet event. Thanks to Larry, J and 240Gordie for the help and as always, it's good to see the boys.
